You now have the right to know what is in every food package that you choose to buy. Today (2014-12-13) the EU Regulation 1169/2011 has come into force (interpreted in the Swedish regulation LIVSFS 2004: 27). This may not mean that every food package carries a full ingredient list that is linked to a barcode yet even if it should be so now. Until now, the choice of providing this information has been up to the producer, today it is required by law.
